Biography
Kristine Virsis is an artist born and raised in New York. Her silkscreened prints begin as intricate paper cutouts accompanied by hand painting, and are presented as silk screened editions, hand pulled true to size. Her work explores the weight of memory, nostalgia, grief, and mental health, often containing imagery inspired by the plants and animals of the Hudson Valley where she spent seasons of her childhood.
