Biography

Anna Mogilevsky was born in Moscow, Russia. She is a painter, curator and professor. Anna’s primary mediums are graphite, oil paint and embroidery. She also works in mixed media and collage.  Anna has widely exhibited her work throughout New England, New York, New Jersey and Ohio.  She is a recipient of a number of awards, including the Ruth Katsman Scholarship, Massart Young Master Fellowship and Florence Leif Award. A passionate educator, Anna has lectured and mentored students at the Rhode Island School of Design, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Northeastern University, UMASS Lowell and Dartmouth, as well as Bridgewater State University. Her curatorial projects include, “ Multiplicity” at Dacia Gallery in New York, "In scape Out scape" at the Rhode Island school of Design in Providence, RI, "Decidedly Ambivalent" at the Newton Art Center in Boston Massachusetts, and "Decidedly Ambivalent II" at the Work Gallery in Brooklyn. Anna received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and her Masters of Fine Arts in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
